FUNDAMENTAL HUMAN RIGHTS

What are your fundamental human rights? i bet a lot of people don't know,human rights are part of common heritage of mankind without discrimination,this is the right which stands above all ordinary laws of the land.

Chapter iv of the Nigerian 1999 constitution made provision for the fundamental right of every citizen and no citizen shall be deprived of such rights except such right has been contravened by the citizen.

Every citizen of Nigeria has the following rights as provided in the constitution.

Right to Life
Right to freedom from torture or inhuman degrading
Right to dignity of human person
Right to movement
Right to freedom from discrimination on ground of race,sex or tribe
Right to family life
Right to fair hearing
Right to freedom of expression and press
Right to conscience,thought and religion
Right to freedom of peaceful association
Right to freedom from forced labour
Right to freedom from unlawful imprisonment
Right to ownership of property
Right to education
Right to hold public office

Note that where any of the above mentioned rights has been breached,the victim can enforce such right in the court of law.
