ADULTERY : ALAMIESIEGHA'S ADULTEROUS DAUGHTER IN LAW

Tonbra Alamiesiegha (son of the former Governor) and his wife of seven months, Chikodi Stella Ononiwu have parted ways on the ground of infidelity and adultery. It was gathered that Tonbra’s wife began dating one Earnest a married banker who lives in Abuja and over time they both exchange text messages telling each other how they enjoyed spending time together and how they look forward to being together again after every session of passionate meeting at their hide out.

A scene was plotted and Tonbra left on a business trip unknown to the adulterous she invited Earnest as usual to their usual spot, they were trailed and the wife Chikodi Stella was caught pant down by Tonbra

This brought to an end their marriage of seven month as the man sent her away and has since moved to her parents house.............CULLED FROM METRO NEWS

If you have been following my write up, it will be easy to identify after reading the story line what i am likely going to write about, it is no other thing but Adultery, the implication, approach of the law as this is a typical case of an adulterous wife caught in the Act.

A decree of dissolution of marriage is one of the most applied for in matrimonial relief. Under the Matrimonial Causes Act, the sole ground for dissolution of a marriage is that the marriage has broken down irretrievably , for a court to come to the conclusion that a legally contracted marriage has broken down irretrievably , the petitioner  must satisfy the court that any of the grounds under the Section 15(2), Adultery fall under this category in subsection (b) that since the marriage, the respondent has committed adultery and that the petitioner finds it intolerable to live with the respondent.

Please note that the petitioner must prove that he/she finds it intolerable to live with the adulterer before the marriage can be dissolved.

Also, on whether mere sending out an adulterous wife out of matrimonial home is as good as divorce. Adultery as discussed earlier is a ground for divorce as provided for under the Matrimonial Causes Act but before a marriage can be brought to an end; the parties must go through the procedures of dissolution of marriage provided for under the same Act. It is after this has been complied with and dissolved by a court of competent jurisdiction that one can rightly say that the marriage has been brought to an end.

Conclusively, an application for dissolution of marriage on a ground of divorce shall be entertained i hereby advise that the proper thing be done or continue to live as husband and wife.

Thank you.

  1. I wonder why she decided to put her name in the mud.if she knows she can't stay put with a man,she shouldn't have married at the 1st place.she is one of the reason why single girls will say marriage is overrated.
